Countdown 2015 Europe

The IPPF European Network is the lead partner for a 3-year project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation implemented by a consortium of 10 partners and including some 8 others. In total the group covers 16 European countries conducting activities under the banner of Countdown 2015 Europe.

Countdown 2015 Europe aims to achieve increased financial support of European donors for reproductive health supplies and to improve European coordination and coherence to narrow the gaps between the needs, demand and availability of reproductive health supplies as an essential step toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Countdown 2015 Europe was launched at the European Development Days, held in Lisbon from 7-9 November 2007. Two Consortium members, IPPF EN and Interact Worldwide presented the initiative and presented a first publication: Strategic Options for Greater European Investment in Reproductive Health Supplies together with a corporate brochure on Countdown 2015 Europe and a fact sheet on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Environmental Sustainability.
