The French Member Association, MFPF has launched a new website www.mariageforce.fr providing information on ‘forced marriage’ including prevention proposals. The website also contains a world map which allows the visitor to either choose a help centre locally (within the various Departments of France) or abroad.

An estimated 70.000 young women living in France are confronted to forced marriage. Teenagers and young adults, French and migrants, from the Muslim community are the most vulnerable to forced marriage which can be in no case justified since it infringes the fundamental human rights of the individual.
