The French government has recently asked the French National Authority for Health to remove ‘transgender’ from the list of long term psychiatric disorders.

This is a major step forward in the recognition and protection of fundamental rights of transgender people in France.

Beginning of 2009, a local branch office of IPPF Member Association, MFPF began to address specific needs of people looking for information and counselling on transgender issues.
