Countdown 2015 Europe is proud to launch its new website: www.countdown2015europe.org 

The website gives information on reproductive health supplies which include among others maternal and neo-natal supplies, contraceptives and condoms, and HIV medicines. It presents the main European stakeholders and the extent to which they promote and finance reproductive health supplies. We also provide links to other initiatives working on this important issue as well as announcements and reports of Countdown 2015 Europe activities and publications.

Countdown 2015 Europe brings together a group of leading European non-governmental organisations working in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights. Experienced in advocacy for reproductive health in Overseas Development Aid, partners of Countdown 2015 Europe conduct activities in 15 European countries and with the EU Institutions.

We aim to achieve increased financial support of European donors for reproductive health supplies and to improve European coordination and coherence to narrow the gaps between the needs, demand and availability of reproductive health supplies. This is an essential step toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), in particular the target of universal access to reproductive health services (MDG5). It is clear that reproductive health services cannot serve their clients well if the necessary supplies are not available. This may sound evident, but in many countries of the world people receive contraceptive advice, for instance, yet the contraceptives are not available.
