IPPF Member Association of Germany "pro familia" has launched two new brochures especially targeted towards adolescents, informing them on how to avoid accidents in sex and contraception.

The brochure "Auf Nummer sicher mit der ‘Pille danach’" ("Play it safe with the morning-after pill") deals with contraception and after sex contraception.

The second brochure "Man(n) nehme ein Kondom das passt…" (‘Take a condom that fits’) informs on the different types of condoms and sizes that exist including the safe handling of condoms.

A "pro familia" study revealed that 60% of teenage women who got pregnant accidentally and who were asked about their knowledge of contraception and the morning-after pill used contraception (condom or pill), that failed. Half of the women did not have adequate knowledge on the use of the morning-after pill.
