The Family Planning Association of Estonia (FPAE) advocates choice in fertility regulation, and has given particular priority to health and sex education for young people.
Many of our publications have been translated into Russian (30% of the population is Russian-speaking).
The family planning association (FPA) has participated in designing the school health education curriculum.
In developing sex education activities in Estonia, we have closely co-operated with the FPAs in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, translating and dubbing some of the sex education material from these countries, and we have also exchanged experience with the Latvian FPA.
FPAE produces a range of information and education materials, including education kits and videos for schools, and organizes training workshops for teachers and young people in different cities.
Peer group activities are conducted at the 15 youth counselling centres, managed by the FPA Youth Group.
We are joining the IPPF Europe Contraceptive Social Marketing project and will sell COOL condoms and later, an oral contraceptive.
