Pro Familia Hungaria Scientific Society (HSS) provides family planning information and contraceptive services to reduce reliance on abortion; we provide information on sexuality and sex education, counselling for young people, and training for health and education professionals.

Pro Familia distributes information and education material on sexual and reproductive health and contraception, together with promoting condom availability and use through a social marketing programme.

The Association is working with four model family planning centers in different cities, but mainly focuses its activities in the field of information, education and advocacy.

We run `Gates of Adult Life' training courses on family planning and reproductive health, in different parts of the country, for teachers and others working with young people on issues of sexual health and empowerment.

We distribute information on various contraceptive methods, sexually transmitted infections and AIDS, and sells condoms in order to fund our work.

The family planning association has extensively used the IPPF Charter in support of our advice to the government concerning draft health legislation, and works with policy-makers to remove the legal and administrative barriers to reproductive health services.
