The Israel Family Planning Association (IFPA) is run from the centre of Tel Aviv.

We provide open door counselling centres for adolescents run by volunteers in six locations; family planning clinics for Russian and Ethiopian new immigrants (with Russian and Ethiopian health care workers), and a telephone hotline.

There is a high level of volunteer activity: all the counselling centres and hotlines are staffed by volunteers.

We provide specific training for health professionals working with Russian-speaking and Ethiopian immigrants.

We also provide training on sex education and and family planning.

The training programmes cover direct training of health workers, training of trainers and courses which are expected to be integrated into the health system and to be offically recognised by a leading University.

The Association hosts an information resource centre with books, journals, videos and we also produce our own educational materials in Hebrew and Russian.

IFPA also run special projects on HIV/AIDS infection, transmission and safe sex.
