Mouvement Luxembourgeois pour le Planning Familial et l' Education Sexuelle focusses on individual counselling.

Efforts are made to give more publicity to the family planning association and our centres. Members of the national and local committees participate in local events and those organized by other associations. We have made contact with a great trade union which publishes our contributions in its regular information bulletin.

Men have become a more important target group for discussions on behaviour and attitudes and work has started with offenders in the field of sexual abuse of children.

Major attention is still given to sexual violence against women. We offer:

• group therapy for victims
• self defence sessions for women
• working groups for professionals
• links for the victims of violence to legal services

Our centres are well-known among young people. They are fully equipped for sex education courses for school classes; in each centre one staff member has had special training. 

Convenient space is available in the new centres. A new staff member (a young female doctor) is very much committed to developing sex education and collaborating with various secondary schools.

The response to this offer is very positive. Social workers in secondary schools are very much in favour of bringing classes to the family planning centres. The association will apply to the Minister of Education to get official support for this activity.
