Společnost pro plánování rodiny a sexuální výchovu (SPRSV)

SPRSV is an independent, nongovernmental, non-profit organization operating in the Czech Republic since 14 January 1991.

SPRSV:

• supports and carries out training of specialists in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights; supports the treatment of infertility
• defends the right of women to legal access to abortion
• ensures that all sexual and reproductive health services including contraceptive information and services shall be provided strictly on the basis of voluntary acceptance and informed choice with no coercion
• advocates for the basic human right of all women, men and young people to make free and informed choices regarding their own sexual and reproductive health including contraception, and for the means to exercise this right

Main projects

Peer Project

Peer Project is focused on young people. This program has existed since 2004. This program consists of several levels. Every level is focused on a one main topic. These topics are

• partnership and HIV/AIDS
• contraception in depth
• partnership and relationship etc.
• congress, conference etc

SPRSV organizes and participates in organizing national and international conferences, congresses and seminars.

Since 1992 SPRSV has organized multidisciplinary National Congress about Sex Education in Bohemia and every other year a similar congress in Moravia.

The main part of the campaign has been held on World AIDS Day, the 1st December.

The second part of the campaign is the third Sunday in May, which is the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial.

Internet counselling

SPRSV provides consultancy and expert services through internet counseling. Counsellors answer questions from the field of gynaecology, family planning, sexology, partnership, sex education, and sexual and reproductive laws etc.
