2-year fixed-term contract, starting March 2020
IPPF European Network is seeking the right person to work closely with IPPF EN members and partners supporting the development of their strategic communications and mobilisation capacity, and accompany the design and implementation of research, narrative development, testing and dissemination.
The post holder will act as a focal point for the IPPF EN European Movement Support Programme, responsible for facilitating and sharing learning with and between movements working to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights in European countries.
The right candidate for this job will be comfortable working in matrix environments, flexible and ready to adjust to context, learn and adapt as needed, and also be able to structure and implement a coherent programme of work involving multiple stakeholders. Project management skills, including donor reporting, are also vital for this role. You will have considerable experience capacity building in the fields of advocacy, communications, public mobilisation and a solid understanding of the role strong narratives and grassroots mobilisation play in bringing lasting social and political change.
You have lots of experience of designing and facilitating workshops and other methods of imparting knowledge, including digitally, as well as know-how in documenting and sharing learning.
You will have proven ability to navigate political sensitivities and understand the challenges involved in working on sensitive topics, including an appreciation of confidentiality and due care in the handling of information. Experience working in multi-cultural environments and excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be essential. Knowledge of implementing and applying consumer research would be a strong advantage.
