IPPF EN i decide contraception campaign banner

In 2017, 85 million women and girls will be forced into pregnancy – because they are denied the contraceptive care they want and need. That's the equivalent of every person in Germany being pregnant at the same time.

Providing one year of contraceptive care would cost your government about €22 for each woman. Denying it will force women and girls into pregnancies they haven’t planned, don’t want and cannot afford. That leads to ill health and poverty. For 300,000 of them, it also means death.

And it’s the world’s poorest women who are most likely to be forced into pregnancy. They can’t say “I Decide”.

Help change that. Support universal access to contraception.
